Holmes Chapel Music Society was formed in 1972 to promote an interest in a wide range of classical music.

The Society is a Registered Charity (No. 508820) and SIR MARK ELDER CBE is its President.   Its Vice Presidents are SIR FRANCIS GRAHAM-SMITH FRS, RICHARD HOWARTH and MARTIN ROSCOE.

It organises concerts by professional performers; many internationally renowned, which take place monthly from September to April each year.   They regularly attract audiences of up to 250 in the specially adapted Small Hall of the Leisure Centre within Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School and Sixth Form College.   The acoustics and amenities are particularly suitable for this type of music.

The atmosphere is friendly and informal and performers are encouraged to introduce the music and to meet members of the audience in the bar after the performance.   Audiences enjoy coffee and a chat with friends during the generous interval. We go out of our way to welcome new members and listen to their views.   Wheelchair access is available by arrangement.

All concerts are in the Small Hall of the Leisure Centre within Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School and Sixth Form College, off Selkirk Drive, Holmes Chapel, Cheshire, CW4 7DZ  Tel: 01477 689 552.
